Every week, I scour the web to find inspiring outfits on your favorite celebs and help you recreate their looks! So this week, Who was inspired us? Read on to see how you can get their looks for yourself.
1.Rosie Huntington-Whiteley’s Fall Fabulous
Model and actress Rosie Huntington-Whiteley stepped out in London this week looking like she had just walked off the runway. She wore a fab outfit for the fall season, which consisted of a wool brimmed hat, an oversize striped sweater, and some thigh-high boots over some skin tight pants. For Canada Goose Heli Arctic Parka
Rosie manages to look alluring while remaining covered up by playing with proportions and textures: Her tight pants make her thigh-high boots look sultry, but the long, loose shape of her sweater keeps the look from appearing too sexy for daytime. I also love her ensemble’s color palette — such perfect fall shades!
To recreate Rosie’s look, pick some tight pants or leggings that will easily fit into some black thigh-high or over-the-knee boots. Rosie’s pants have a slight sheen to them, so feel free to pick a similar pair with interesting detailing, like these Moto leggings that have pintuck pleats on the knees and contrasting panels. Wear a striped sweater in either a boyfriend shape or just in a larger size, to get that loose, effortless vibe. Finally, accessorize with a wool brimmed hat and a structured black handbag (this Birkin-inspired one has shearling trim for a unique touch).
2.Lea Michele’s Sweet & Cozy Look
Actress Lea Michele looked sweet and cozy recently in a cable knit open-front sweater, a printed skirt, and a white top. I love wearing toasty sweaters during this time of year, though I don’t typically think to pair them with skirts, so Lea inspired me this week. The colors of her look are soft and feminine, and I love her cool accessories – her vegan Stella McCartney bag and cat-eye sunglasses add polish to the ensemble.
To get Lea’s look, pick a loose, printed skirt in a darker shade, and pair it with a simple white top. Then choose a gray cable-knit open-front sweater to wear on top. Cat-eye sunglasses add trendy appeal, as does this gold metallic bag with chain-link detailing. Finally, you have many options for footwear; if it’s still warm, some gold embellished flat sandals would complement the bag, or, if you’re in full-out fall mode, opt for some leather knee-high boots.
3.Fearne Cotton’s Bold Cold-Weather Look
Taking some more inspiration from London, Fearne Cotton, a British TV presenter and DJ known widely for her awesome fashion sense, was spotted wearing a bold cold-weather look. I find that the colder it gets, the more difficult it is to put together outfits that still “pop”. However, Fearne’s look certainly pops, thanks to her leopard print booties, bright blue beret hat, and waxed utility coat.
Topshop’s black waxed cape coat is strikingly similar to Fearne’s — I love how the waxy texture has just a bit of sheen to make it stand out. Pair it with a colorful purple top like Fearne’s, although even a white t-shirt would look great with this outfit. Leopard print wedge booties are a wild statement that will set you apart from the crowd, as is a bright blue beret hat. A black bag with gold detailing matches the gold detailing on the coat and looks super chic.ForMoncler coats<
4.Kate Hudson’s Out-of-this-Galaxy Night Ensemble
Kate spotted going to dinner in London wearing a galaxy-printed t-shirt, tuxedo pants, and an oversize blazer, with some black booties and a black quilted shoulder bag.
To be honest, I don’t totally love the way the look was put together– the pants are a bit too baggy for my taste and the proportions seems a bit off. But, I saw a lot of potential in this look; maybe it’s because I am a sucker for anything with a galaxy print! The look below is an interpretation of Kate’s look which I think flatters the body a bit more.
Taking a cue from Kate, start with a cool galaxy-printed long t-shirt– this one is sleeveless and should fit a bit loose. You could try pairing it with tuxedo pants (perhaps a tad more fitted than Kate’s), or for an easier and more accessible option, you could try pairing it with some leggings which have a sheen to them; the sheen gives you the ability to wear them on a night out (and since the top is long and loose, it should cover you enough in the back).
The boyfriend blazer brings the whole look together, and again, the longer length is perfect since you are wearing leggings. This small quilted cross-body bag is a cute substitute for Kate’s larger shoulder bag version– I’m loving the similar chain strap, the gold adds another touch of dressiness to the overall look. Finally, if you’d like to be a bit daring, try on a pair of adorable clogs – they’re ultra-hot this season.
5.Lindsay Lohan’s Structured Jacket and Shorts
Lindsay Lohan was back out on the town this week, looking cute in a structured cropped pink jacket, a faintly tie-dyed t-shirt, black shorts, black pumps, and the Alexander Wang Rocco duffel bag which has incited lust in the hearts of almost every girl I know.
A few years back when Lindsay’s life was a little less– ahem– hectic, I always would look to her for fashion inspiration. While she hasn’t been the most inspiring lately, this outfit seems to be a step in the right direction! Mixing something free-spirited like tie-dye with something structured, like the blazer, is a unique, and surprisingly cute way to put a spin on simple black shorts. For The North face womens jakcets.
This pink cropped jacket from Forever 21 is a great substitute for Lindsay’s, with perfectly structured lines. The shorts are perfect, too– they are not tight, but rather a tad roomy like Lindsay’s, and feature a cuffed hem. Next, as unexpected as it is, the tie-dye shirt looks cool when tucked into the shorts. Finally, add some black pumps and matching bag– I’ve chosen this quilted shoulder bag because has the appearance of a designer bag (we can’t all afford Wangs!) and keeps with the structured theme.
